Andy Best is a highly experienced aviation professional with over 35 years of experience in the industry. He is currently the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of British Airways, a position he has held since early 2023. In this role, he is responsible for the airline's technical operations, including maintenance, engineering, and fleet safety.

He began his career in aviation as an aircraft engineer within the RAF before moving to the civil sector where he was a B1 certifying engineer. He later held various engineering and management roles across numerous airlines and MROs including Chief Commercial Officer at SRTechnics, and more recently Chief Technical Officer at British Airways’ sister airline, Iberia, where he was responsible for supercharging the airlines’ engineering and MRO facilities.
