Basil Papayoti is the Vice President of Commercial MRO for Delta TechOps. He oversees sales, contracts, marketing and the alliance strategy for Delta’s 3rd party MRO business and is focused on the continued growth of the commercial business.

Basil has more than 30 years of industry knowledge and experience with aircraft and engine equipment manufacturers. He previously served as Chief Commercial Officer at MRO Holdings, where he was responsible for leading commercial efforts across sales, customer experience, marketing and branding. In that role, he supported the company’s management of airframe work for many of the top domestic airline operators, including Delta.

Prior to joining MRO Holdings, Basil held several other leadership roles at companies like GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES), SkyView Consulting Partners and Air Canada Technical Services (ACTS).

He also previously served as the Director of Delta TechOps Sales and Marketing, where he led the strategy for developing and implementing our domestic and international MRO networks and double-digit growth. He also led the development and launch of the TechOps logo and identity we know today.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan.
